Richard Rives Bird has been painting for over 30 years. However it is only in the last 15 years that his work has transformed into abstracts and been displayed and sold. His more prominent works are large acrylic on canvas often approaching dimensions of 4 x 6 feet. He has done commissioned pieces for various clients. He is president and founder of Rives Audio (www.rivesaudio.com). He is the current president of the Hancher Guild in Iowa City.
