Wenan Wang has worked as a biology researcher at the University of Missouri, Duke University and the University of Iowa. After her retirement in 2001 from UI, she started taking classes in ceramics. It opened her eyes to a totally different world which she thoroughly enjoys. She has a lot of fun exploring shapes, proportions and colors. She also tries to incorporate her appreciation of oriental art form into the design of her work. She has been working steadily in the Ceramic Studio at the Recreation Center of Iowa City.
