Gallery
The AIC Gallery is located in the Lower Level of the
Old Savings & Loan Building, 103 E. College Street in downtown Iowa City.
The AIC Gallery has been known by a variety of names
throughout the last several years, including AIC Center & Gallery, Arts Underground
and The Space. Because the AIC Gallery is AIC's home base, housing both our administrative office and our
original gallery, we have reverted back to the original name.
The
AIC Gallery, located in the center of downtown Iowa City, is worth a visit because it is the heart of operations for our organization.
Our gallery in this
space is intimate and quiet, and because it is not a sales gallery,
the work exhibited here is sometime very different than the work
shown in our other
gallery venues. AIC displays work by international, national, regional, and local artists, with political art, installations, large scale drawings,
and work by emerging and students artists as some of the major
themes of shows. We hope you visit
us soon!
