Arts Iowa City is currently reviewing exhibition proposals for the upcoming AIC Juried Exhibition season. Proposals are being accepted on an ongoing basis until all exhibition openings are filled. Arts Iowa City looks forward to working collaboratively with the Englert Civic Theatre.

AIC is looking for original, innovative and contemporary two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork of all mediums. Proposals may be submitted by one artist or a collaborative team, and will be considered for exhibit in all AIC venues.

The AIC Gallery and the AIC Satellite Galleries are not sales galleries, although sales are encouraged. AIC retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold in AIC exhibits at the AIC Gallery and AIC Satellite Galleries.

Although AIC is dedicated to exhibiting the work of its members, you need not be an Arts Iowa City member to submit a proposal. However, if your proposal is selected for exhibit it is required that you become a member.

Proposal Requirements

Please compile the following materials:

1. Cover letter/Proposal (one page, typewritten).
2. 10-20 numbered slides. Slides should be representative of the artwork which will be exhibited.
3. Corresponding slide list. Please include number of slide, artist name, title of work, medium, size, date and price of work.
4. Resume(s).
5. Number and approximate sizes of work to be included in exhibition.
6. Support materials, including reviews or catalogs.
7. Self-addressed stamped envelope for return of materials.
