Cultural Corridor

Here, you'll find information on events, activities and attractions that range from what's happening tomorrow...to what's happening six months from now. CulturalCorridor.org is a joint effort between the Cedar Rapids Area Cultural Alliance (CRACA) and the Johnson County Cultural Alliance (JCCA) whose 80+ members represent the spectrum of arts/culture organizations in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Coralville communities.

Iowa Art Festival The Iowa Art Festival is an annual celebration of the arts, that takes place the first weekend in June in downtown Iowa City.

Iowa Artisans Gallery Iowa Artisans Gallery was founded in 1984 by twelve craft artists seeking an outlet for their own work.
Gallery Walk The Iowa City Gallery Walk is a self-guided walking tour of concurrent art openings at about fourteen locations in or near downtown Iowa City. The event takes place from 5-8pm on a Friday night three times annually, in March, June and October. It’s a family-friendly event that is free and open to the public
Iowans for the Arts Focuses on creating and maintaining a support network of community arts organizations in order to build collaborations and partnerships between arts organizations and other agencies.
Art Educators of Iowa We are a professional organization for those interested in the future of art education. We supply exemplary networking opportunities and collegial support for educators throughout Iowa.

Iowa City Jazz Festival Usually held near the first weekend in July (2nd - 4th in 2004) in the heart of downtown Iowa City, the Iowa City Jazz Festival is the perfect way for friends and family to celebrate Independence Day by paying tribute to one of America’s greatest contributions to the world of music and culture.
The Iowa Biennial Exhibition The Iowa Biennial Exhibition is an international survey of contemporary prints. It also serves to support the collection of works within The Iowa Biennial Exhibition Archive while making them available for academic research, museums, artists, and print students. Works within the archive will be used to promote a greater awareness of the uniqueness and beauty of the print and print media. Submissions for the 2006 edition will be accepted beginning in January 2006.
